About Me
It's a privilege to have the opportunity to work with you! I have years of experience helping students and colleagues alike in navigating through the writing process. I hold my B.A. in English education and my M.A. in English, and during my academic career, I learned the power of leveraging the written word to meet one's goals. Later, during my time as a consultant for a writing consulting firm, I helped countless clients craft successful application materials that earned them admission to top law, medical, and graduate programs. Then, as a college writing composition instructor, I taught students to how to take command of the conventions of the English language in order to strengthen their argumentation. Today, as a K-12 educator, I continue to sharpen my pedagogical skills, while empowering my students to seek out their most authentic voice.
My approach to essay reviews is rooted in the hierarchy of rhetorical concerns — a process that is primarily focused on purpose, audience, content development, and organization. This approach ensures your essay communicates both clearly and effectively, while also maintaining your authentic voice. Ultimately, I provide tangible, actionable feedback designed to help you demonstrate to admissions committees exactly why you belong in their programs.
My aim is simple: to support you in crafting an essay that ends with that highly-coveted acceptance email in your inbox.
